Edit  Delete 2/24/2009 Well I have finally got a German Shorthaired Pointer. His name is samson and he is 2yr 7mnths old. I picked him up last weekend and he is seems to be really asimulating into our home. He and the cats get along there have been a few incidents but nothing more than a few barks. He seems to really be interested in birds. I picked up a quail decoy the other day and thats all he wants to play with. He doesn't mind the crate at night and while we are gone. We have been training and walking for about three hours a day.
Edit  Delete 12/30/2008 Well here we are at the end of the year and Margie and I moving into a new home. Yes, we sold our other home and have been in our new one for the past week. We have a pool and hot tub along with a very unique landscape. We have been looking at homes for a good while and finally out of the blue we found the perfect one. It is a single story home with a three car garage sitting on a ½ acre lot. We also have a pool and hot tub now with a water fall. Of course David and I are starting to tweak the audio and video makeup of the house to suit my needs. Margie is busy unpacking and reorganizing. We had a great Christmas with the all the kids. Karen graciously let us have it are her house this year since ours is partially boxed up LOL. Michael flew in from Virginia and is doing well in Navy. Of course I could not make it down to my parents place so I regret that. This deer season proved to be a very lucrative one and I will soon have a nice eight point shoulder mount. I have also been looking into my next hobby which will be hunting dogs. I plan on getting a German Shorthair Pointer as soon as we are done unpacking. I will hopefully have some photos up soon of the house and more importantly the Deer.
Edit  Delete 9/1/2008 Well today was the first day of hunting season here in the great state of Texas. Joel and I hit the fields this morning and bagged eight doves. It appears they are not going to be flying out at the lease this year. On the way back to Dallas we bagged another bird (a buzzard) however we did not shoot it. Check out the picture next to this entry.
